Obituary

Due to Covid-19 precautions, graveside-only services will be held at this time. Wade will be buried next to his mother at Messiah Episcopal Cemetery at Iron Nation on Friday, July 31, at 10:00 am, with a graveside viewing to begin at 9:45 am.

Friends and family ask that attendees wear masks, social distance, and respect the health of our elders and those at risk during the viewing and services. We will honor his life and journey with the community in other ways when conditions allow.

Wade Wray Brings was born March 25 1972 and passed peacefully in his sleep on July 19, 2020. He is now reunited with his beloved mother, Darlene DeWitt, and father Nyal Brings. Wade passed too soon. But, while he was here, he loved to read, and to express himself in his writing. Wade was a highly intelligent young man whose inquisitiveness knew no bounds. Deeply curious and sensitive to the connection between man and God, he had studied for the priesthood, and majored in theology at Mount Marty College.  Wade was also a very talented artist whose drawings were incredibly detailed and creative. He was an excellent cook who enjoyed serving others, especially his father. You would often see Wade dressed in black like his musical idol, Roy Orbison, and he was an avid collector of Roy Orbison memorabilia.

Wade is survived by his sisters Terra Daniel and Julie Thompson, brothers David Brings and Jon Brings, his niece Jordan Marie Daniel with whom he formed a special bond when she was an infant, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephew. He was loved by many and will be missed.

Pall Bearers include: Fenette Middletent, Orson Middetent, Davis Grooms, David Brings, Jon Brings, and David Daniel
