Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave from funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m.

Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2025 at the Presbyterian Cemetery at Crow Creek, SD.

Funeral services  will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2025 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD.

Vincent was born on January 13, 1988 to Michael Dennis Metcalf, Sr. and Earleen "Lorna" Red Bird. Vincent passed away October 26, 2025.

He was a man whose heart was full of imagination, kindness, and quiet strength. His love for music, film, and games brought him joy and gave him countless ways to express his creative spirit. Inspired by his favorite band, Tool, he found comfort and meaning in music, often creating his own with his hobby in playing guitar. He could speak for hours about movies and games, his words always filled with passion, humor, and a spark of wit that made everyone smile.

Throughout his life, he worked many jobs with steady hands and a humble heart as a cook, housekeeper, and clerk. No matter what he was doing, he approached each task with care and a sense of pride. His confidence was quiet but sure, and his kindness left a lasting mark on everyone he met.

He lived a life rich in thought, creativity, and compassion. Though he has left this world, his spirit remains with us in the music he loved and the laughter he shared with us all.

Vincent is survived by his brothers: Michael, Jr., Lester, Sr., Dennis and his sister SarahMae. Also by his nieces and nephews: Cristyn Metcalf, Nathan Metcalf, Lester Metcalf, Jr., Harmony Red Water; his uncles: Gerald High Elk and Earlwin Red Bird, Jr.; his aunts Ida (Metcalf) Howe, Mary (Metcalf) Soper, and Tina Red Bird, and his many cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Michael Metcalf, Sr. and Earleen Lorna Red Bird, sister Nicole Estella Metcalf, his grandparents: Leonard Metcalf, Diana (Big Eagle) Metcalf, Earlwin Red Bird, Sr. and Corrine (High Elk) Red Bird; his uncles: Carl Red Bird, Benedict Red Bird, Perry Red Bird, Leonard Metcalf and Clifford Metcalf, Sr.; and his aunt Linda Metcalf.
