Funeral services for Vincent E. Kettle, 41, of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 pm  Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Lower Brule, SD at the Golden Buffalo Convention Center. Wake service will be Friday, September 14 ^th at 7:00 pm at the Golden Buffalo Convention Center in Lower Brule. Burial will follow at St. Alban's Cemetery in Fort Hale, SD.

In the early morning hours of September 11 ^th , 2018, Vincent Edward Kettle, Sr. passed away suddenly at the age of 41. Vince was a beloved boyfriend, father, son and brother. Vince was born January 17, 1977 in Robbinsdale, MN to Valerie Kettle and William "Billy" Holmes. He spent much of his youth in the Ponsford and Pinepoint area of Minnesota and graduated from Circle of Life High School in White Earth, MN. He enjoyed sports in his youth, mainly football and basketball.

In 1999, Vince came to South Dakota and eventually settled in Lower Brule. In adulthood, he enjoyed spending time gambling at the casino and spending time with his family and best friend Dusty Crazy Bull.

He will be forever remembered by his girlfriend Sarah Kennedy and step-daughter Conner Kennedy, his surviving children Alexander Kent (Nicole Kent), Lara Lee Kettle, Jerrine Jay Kettle (Kimberly LaRoche) LaVinceia Sharon Grace Kettle (Amy One Feather) Joseph James, and Reagan Anne Pearlema Kennedy (Sarah Kennedy), his brothers Jeff Holmes, Robert Kettle, Randy Kettle, Ramsey Kettle, Kevin Fineday Jr., Billy Jones and sisters Jesse Jones, Rose Marie Roberts, Cassie Holmes and Rachel Fineday Smith.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Harry Joseph Kettle, paternal grandparents Rose and Duane Holmes, father William "Billy" Holmes, uncles Jimmy and Mike Holmes, brother Duane Jones, sons Casper Lee Kettle and Vincent Edward Kettle Jr. (Amy One Feather), nephew Trinidad Flores and uncle Wayne Reyes.
