Victoria Jean Pretty Sounding Flute was born  November 13, 1961 in Fargo, North Dakota to Floyd Evans Sr. and Shirley Florence (High Elk) Pretty Sounding Flute.

Victoria held many positions such as:
Postmaster - 2005 to 2014. (Victoria was the last full time postmaster of Lower Brule.) Head of the Slot Department at the Golden Buffalo Casino when it first opened until 2004. Bartender at Reliance Bar, Security at Golden Buffalo Casino, Cashier at KWOTP and most recently at Lower Brule Elderly Nutrition. Victoria served 3 three year terms on Lower Brule School Board.

Vicki enjoyed taking car rides, thrifting, beading, and gambling in her freetime. Victoria loved and adored her family, she loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was big on celebrating grandchildren's birthdays and celebrating holidays.
Vickie spent her last few months at home in the care of daughter Bethany and family after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in August of 2025.
Victorias Journal:
"I love all my grandkids but Aleshanee holds a special spot (I got to keep her). Christina is my favorite niece, 🙂 even though I do have a lot of really awesome nieces and nephews."

Victoria journeyed to the spirit world on March 3rd 2026 at home surrounded by family at the age of 64.

Victoria is survived by and gratefully sharing her life are her husband Myron Walters of Lower Brule, SD; Children; Salicia Jandreau of Lower Brule, Juanetta Tom of Lower Brule, Bethany Booher of Lower Brule, Andrew Booher Jr (Kindra) of Pierre, Dustin Pretty Sounding Flute of Lower Brule, Shirley Booher (Michael) of Lower Brule, and Maureen Booher of Lower Brule. Grandchildren; Aleshanee, Cheyenne, Shante, Jacqueline, Buddy, Annalise, Jarret, Dustin, Andrew III, Tiley, Blake, Mahpiya Suta, Lindsay, Junior, Natalie, Roman, Alicia, Miley, Cipriano, Aaliyah, Abby, Gregory, Michael,  Serene, Billy, Adam, Atlas, Avery, and Everleigh. Brothers Samuel Pretty Sounding Flute of Lower Brule, Emery Pretty Sounding Flute (Ella) of Fort Thompson, Floyd Pretty Sounding Flute, Jr., and  Ervin George Pretty Sounding Flute (Lisa) of Lower Brule. Adopted sisters/dear friends Delphine, Sandra Abdo, Allison Grassrope, Lori Marsh, Diz and Marilyn Herman. Special Nephew and nieces Raymond Flute, Christina Flute, and Sarah Little Thunder. Many many many & much more family and friends to numerous to mention.

Preceding her in death were her parents Floyd and Shirley Pretty Sounding Flute, her brothers Clinton Pretty Sounding Flute, Irving Pretty Sounding Flute, adopted sisters Ila Crain, Jessie FireCloud and Violet Little Thunder, son Daniel Pretty Sounding Flute, and granddaughter Victoria Jean, and late ex-husband Andrew Booher Sr.
