Funeral services for Tyrone S. Stepp, 49, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Crow Creek Tribal Hall in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in the Conkicaska Presbyterian Cemetery at Fort Thompson, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday at the Crow Creek Tribal Hall in Fort Thompson, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday from the funeral home.

Tyrone S. Stepp passed away at home on September 1, 2024 due to health problems.

He was born December 12, 1974 in Chamberlain, SD to Burton Jr. and Faith (Spider) Stepp.  He lived all his life in Ft. Thompson.  He attended school at Crow Creek Tribal School and the National College of Business in Rapid City, SD   Tyrone played basketball in high school and the team went to the State Basketball tournament.  While playing high school basketball he was called "zone buster"!

Tyrone grew up on the Pow Wow trail   He loved recording the drum groups, following his brother Burton (Babe) Stepp III and his two cousins Todd and Sonny Red Bear.

He worked at the Lode Star Casino, First Dakota Enterprises and for the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe.

He loved spending time with his kids, Breydon, Atraya and Shaydon.  His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys.

Tyrone is survived by his kids Breydon, Atraya and Shaydon his mother Faith Spider and two brothers Richard Stands On Top and Burton (Babe) Stepp III, many aunts and an uncle Amis Spider.

Preceding him in death was his father Burton Stepp Jr., Paternal grandparents Burton Sr and Margaret Stepp, Maternal grandparents Rev. Stephen and Ethel Spider, Aunts Henrietta Stepp, Theresa Red Bear, Mary Stepp and Mary Spider, Uncles Bill Stepp, Alvin Spider, Robert Spider, Ralph Spider and Steven (Rocky) Spider, Brother Tom Witt, Cousins Todd and Sonny Red Bear and Alvin Traversie.
