Funeral services for Tresse D. Dion, 19, of Chamberlain, SD will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery at Stephan, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Monday and Tuesday at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave at 3:00 p.m. on Monday from the funeral home.

Tresse Dream Dion was born February 12, 2004 at Avera St Mary's hospital in Pierre, SD to Marvel Dion and Alvin Traversie. Tresse began her education at Crow Creek Headstart, Crow Creek Elementary School, George McGovern and Edison Middle School of Sioux Falls and Crow Creek High School through her junior year. She played basketball, volleyball and did track throughout her middle school year. Tresse loved listening to music, going on walks, taking pictures, and being with her family and friends. She was a stay at home mom and the best mom to her son, Kyrie Allen. Tresse had a big heart, a comforting voice and laugh, and a beautiful bright smile that would light up a room. In her life she was a friend, mom, daughter, sister, cousin, best friend, girlfriend, auntie, niece and granddaughter. Tresse was a model for a Native American brand, growing up she talked about wanting to become one, her dreams were fulfilled when they asked to come model clothing. Tresse would crack jokes to make you laugh, she had such an amazing sense of humor that is rare to find. She was the first born to her mother and father and she stole everyone's hearts when she was born.

Tresse broke a lot of hearts when she left. She will be greatly missed by all, but we will hold her close in our hearts with all the amazing memories she made with everyone. A contagious laugh, beautiful smile and the deepest dimples that will be missed by all.

Tresse Dream passed away September 20, 2023 in her home at the age of 19 years old. God decided to take one of his angels home. She leaves behind her boyfriend; Cole Allen Flute and their son; Kyrie Allen Flute, Mother; Marvel Dion, Sister; Delilah Traversie, Brother; Rockie Traversie, Special uncles; Chrisopher Dion, Carlus Marks and Patrick "Puka" Dion, Special aunties; Buffy DIon, Deah DIon and Louise Locke, numerous of grandma's, grandpa's, cousins, aunties, uncles, nieces and many good friends who loved her sense of humor and her beautiful self.

Tresse will be reunited in heaven with her Father; Alvin Traversie, Maternal grandmother; Karen Kirkie Great grandparents Isabelle and Silas Johnson, Pauline and Warren Dion Sr., Paulette Dion, Mary Dion and Warren Dion Jr. Paternal grandparents Jewell and Gene Wilson, Alvin Spider and Paul Ziegler. Cousin; Lillian Raine Harrison. Long life best friend; Maliyah Shields.
