Travis Rabbit, 49, of Fort Thompson, SD entered the Spirit World on February 18, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain, SD.
Travis Shawn Rabbit was born on December 29, 1971 to Arliss (Metcalf) Rabbit and Wesley E. Rabbit Sr. in Chamberlain, SD.
Travis was known for being a true jack of all trades. He had a lot of training in computers, repairing cars and helping with renovating homes. Anything you wanted him to fix he could, if he couldn't he would always find a way.
Travis lived most of his life in Fort Thompson. Growing up he loved to break dance and was in competitions around the state with his brothers and friends. Travis always loved going fishing. Him and his brothers had a dog named "Browny". Whenever we were looking for the boys by the river their dog gave them away. Travis attended elementary and high school at Fort Thompson and Crow Creek High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He served from April of 1991 to April of 1993.
In 1997, Travis married Ravae Bowman and to this union three beautiful daughters were born: Romy Alexis Grace, Michelle and Hannah Rabbit. He also helped raise his wife's niece Emily Bowman.
Travis is survived by two daughters Michelle and Hannah Rabbit; sisters Carla Rabbit of Rapid City, SD, Adrienne (Wayne) Two Hawks and Gwen (Lanny Williams) both of Fort Thompson, SD; four brothers Wesley Rabbit Jr. and Daniel Rabbit Sr. both of Fort Thompson, Phillip and Justin Rabbit both of Rapid City, SD; and two Hunka brothers Frank and Ivan Hollow Horn both of Rapid City, SD; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents Arliss and Wesley Rabbit Sr., his daughter Romy A. G. Rabbit who he lost in Sept of 2018, many aunts and uncles on both sides of the family of his parents; and also his oldest sister Elsie M. Rabbit.
