Fleury-Grey Owl, 64, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 26, 2020 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson with burial in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Crow Creek, SD.  Wake services will be Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evening at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson.

Tina Marie Fleury was born to Martha Fleury and Robert (Bobby) Isburg on November 28, 1955 at the Community Bailey Hospital in Chamberlain, SD.  Though it was a cold day, she arrived with love.

Tina made her journey to the Spirit World on September 18, 2020 at Pierre, SD.  She was getting tired and often spoke of the joys at meeting her Maker, her daughters, her mother, grandparents, aunties, grandchildren and relatives, all whom she missed so much.

She was raised by her Gramma Rosabelle and Grampa Dave Fleury in the Crow Creek District. Those were the happy and  content days in her life. Tina, Kurt and Gary  traveled with them to places where her grandpa Dave worked for farmers. She was proud that her grandpa raised them the way he did, no GA or AFDC hard times brought them closer together.  She was her grandpa's "Henpenny".  Aunty Marge was always there for them.

Tina graduated 8 th grade as a Ft. Thompson Panther. She was a Panther cheerleader.  She went on to high school at Harmony Hill High School in Watertown, SD, where she graduated in 3 years. She'd say she was lonesome for home so she put everything into her schoolwork. She was the star of their basketball team.  She left with her brother Richard to Haskell Indian Jr. College in 1973 where she took Business Education.  She loved to play fast pitch with the Ft. Thompson Royals as the catcher. She got some all tourney's for catching. Then the game switched to slow pitch where she became the pitcher. She went to the State Tournament in Rapid City with the Hornets where they won 1 st place and she got the pitching award.  She also loved to bowl. Always enjoyed the game where her team most often placed near the top.

Tina served on the Crow Creek Sioux Tribal Council for a period of 10 years off and on. She loved to help people and did what she could for others. Other positions she held was Finance Clerk, CETA  Clerk, Personnel Officer, JTPA Director, Payroll Clerk, Suicide Prevention Technician, Community Building Manager, Bingo Coordinator, Lode Star Hotel Manager, Executive Secretary, Recording Secretary and Child Care Provider. She said the best was working at the child care, she loved the children so much!

Tina met Beanie Medicine Crow in 1972. Of this relationship they had five children: Heather, Mark, Maureen, Mitzi and Tawnee.  After over ten years, they moved on in their lives.  She then met her true love, Patrick Grey Owl Sr.  They married on April 03, 1987. They celebrated 33 years together.  They had many challenges but they hung in there together, thru thick and thin.

Tina leaves behind her other half, Patrick Grey Owl Sr, her  children: Heather Gayle, Maureen Lynn, Mark Shane, Paige Lynelle, Peyton Rose, Patrick Jr, and Rosilee Ann.
