Tom Cook, 70, of Chamberlain, SD passed away on Sunday February 21, 2021 after a courageous battle with lung cancer at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain with burial in the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain, SD.  Visitation will be Thursday, February 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain.

Thomas Dale Cook was born at the Community Bailey Hospital, Brule County, in Chamberlain, South Dakota on August 14, 1950 to Dale Raymond and Kathryn Josephine (Kiedaisch) Cook.  He grew up on the family farm near Chamberlain and worked with his parents as they established Cook Implement in 1964 at the farm.  He attended country school and graduated high school in 1968 from Chamberlain Public School.  He went on to further his scholastic education at South Dakota State University and returned to the family implement business and farm working with his parents and brother.  He continued throughout his life to expand on his education whenever the opportunity presented and encouraged others to do so by sharing what he had learned.  He managed the farm and implement business with his mother when his father's health declined.

Tom enjoyed flying planes, appreciated collecting classic cars especially Cadillac's, and cooking great meals.

Grateful for sharing his life are his brother Theodore Andrew of Las Vegas, NV. and sister Teresa Louise (Gordon) Zetterlund of Leola, SD.

Preceding him in death were his father on September 24, 2011 and his mother on May 12, 2014.
