Thomas "Tom"
A. Pringle
December 11, 1949 – March 22, 2023
Memorial services for Thomas A. "Tom" Pringle, 73, of Chamberlain will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at the United Church of Christ in Chamberlain. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain, SD.
Thomas Adam Pringle, 73, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain, SD.
Tom was born in Sioux Falls, SD on December 11, 1949 to Thomas H. and Mary Louise (Rinehart) Pringle. He graduated from Bridgewater, SD in 1968 and joined the U.S. Navy in 1969 serving on the USS Enterprise doing two west packs during the Vietnam War. He was Honorably Discharged in 1973.
He was united in marriage to Peggy Markus on June 5, 1976 and to this union three children were born. They later divorced and Tom became a single parent.
Tom worked for the Corps of Engineers at both the Oahe and Big Bend Dam Projects. After 31 years of Federal service between the Navy and the Corps of Engineers, Tom retired in 2005.
In 2001, he was united in marriage to Sandi Dominiack and they became a blended family. The word "step-child" was not in his vocabulary. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage on anything from snow blowers to a small block, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting with his boys, and riding the Harley with Sandi. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them never letting an opportunity go by to give them a hard time. One of his best qualities was his sarcastic sense of humor.
Tom is survived by his wife Sandi; children Jessica (Brian) Paulin, Nichole (Neal) Cheeseman, Timothy (Carson) Pringle, and Jeffery (Chelsey) Pringle; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his brother Chuck (Mary Kay) Pringle, and brother-in-law Ron Maxwell.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Judy Maxwell, brother Ron Pringle, and infant brother Michael.
