Longville, 58, of Kennebec, SD will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Kennebec Gymnasium in Kennebec with burial in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery at Kennebec, SD. Teresa (Tressy) Lynne Kneip was born in Lake Preston on August 11, 1965. She was the fourth child of Robert and Joyce (Pederson) Kneip. She loved her siblings Kathy, Cari, and Larry dearly. Teresa grew up in Arlington, SD and attended school there until her graduation in 1983.
She met the love of her life, Todd Longville in 1983. Excited to start their lives together, they married in Arlington on September 1, 1984. To this union three children were born. Mandy, Jenny, and Jake meant the world to her. Together they lived in Oldham, SD, Gilby, ND, Munich, ND, and finally made their way to Kennebec, SD, where they found home.
Teresa's children were blessed to have a mother who loved as fiercely as she did. Her children could call her for anything, and Teresa would always have advice or the occasional "tough love". As much as Teresa loved being a mom, "Grandma" was her favorite title. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, and rarely missed an event or activity they were involved in. Grandma Tressy was the ultimate grandma! You would often find Tressy and the kids having dance parties, baking, or rocking in the chair together. Teresa loved to tell everyone about her grandbabies and how proud she was of them. Every time the kids saw her, they ran into her arms with pure joy.
She also had a love of animals and had many pets throughout her life. Teresa took pride in how her yard looked and how her flowers looked outside. It was such a joy to her when someone complimented her yard or flowers. She was famous for her baking and would often show up with something to share. Many people requested her oh henry bars, and she never let anyone down! Her children and grandchildren knew any time they would like something special made, she would have it at their house in no time.
Professionally, she held many healthcare positions and later went on to become a paramedic. She worked at Access Health Clinic in Kennebec and was beloved by many people in the community for her friendly and compassionate nature. She went above and beyond to make sure her patients had the best care possible. Friends and community members often called her for advice, and they could count on her to remind them of their appointments and to refill their medications. She considered many patients and coworkers close friends.
Teresa's smile, her laugh, her hugs, her life, and her love are irreplaceable. She held a big piece of our hearts and will be greatly missed.
Teresa passed away on October 28, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain, SD at the age of 58 years.
Teresa was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Kneip.
Gratefully sharing her life was her loving husband, Todd, of 39 years; her children, Mandy of Kennebec, Jenny (Lance) of Winner, and Jake (Jordi) of Kennebec; and her ten grandchildren, Adam, Raiden, Emma, Maddie, Sophie, Cooper, Dylan, Jaylie, Sadie, and Hadlie. She is also survived by her father, Robert Kneip, and her four siblings: Kathy (Randy) Englund, Cari (Scott) Hertogs, Larry (Cindy) Kneip, and numerous nieces and nephews.
