Taylor Allysia McGhee-Ecoffey was born December 26th, 1995 in Mitchell, SD to Jolene LaRoche and Kevin McGhee. Taylor grew up in Lower Brule, SD. Where she attended Lower Brule Elementary then Pierre Indian Learning Center, where she made an impact on a lot of people's lives. She loved to run. She was also a cheerleader. You could hear her beautiful wicked whiskey voice over all the other cheerleaders. Taylor loved to jingle dress dance when she was a child. She recently decided she wanted to get back into the circle. She had a whole plan to make her own regalia, had it all drawn out and everything. She was even going to dance at the upcoming Kul Wicasa Oyate Wacipi.

Later, Taylor transferred to Stanley County High School. In 2014, she became pregnant with her only child Cherish Michel Ecoffey with Gilbert W. Ecoffey. They were married in September 2015 in Martin, SD. They lived their married life in Wounded Knee, SD and chased the career of racing horses. They've raced horses as far as Grants Pass, Oregon as well as all over the Midwest. She loved to travel and drive. One of her bucketlist wishes was to see the ocean and she got to do that with her daughter and husband in Crescent City, California.

Taylor was a very bright soul! She lit up every room she walked in to. She always made time for anyone she felt was having a hard time. She was the type to lift anyone's spirit, especially when they were feeling down and out. Always able to put a smile on someone's face. Her laugh could carry all the way across the race track. She cheered for every horse even when it wasn't her horse.
