Funeral services for Taran A. Ducheneaux, 22, of Pierre, SD will be 1:00  p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery at Stephan, SD. Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave from funeral home on Monday at 3:00 p.m.

Taran was born on July 22, 1999 (during a tornado) in Grand Forks, ND.

Son of Juliana Ducheneaux and Teton/Darshan Ducheneaux.

He attended schools in Tiospa Topa, Laplant, Eagle Butte, Sr. Francis, Arizona, and Eagle Butte Alternative.

He loved his forever home in "Bad Nation" where he always felt at peace.  He also loved fishing the Missouri River.  He played guitar, loved playing Xbox and collected Legos.

He had numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandma's and grandpa's that he loved very much.

He passed away on March 27, 2022 at Rapid City, SD at the age of 22.

He is survived by his mother: Juliana Howe- DX of Pierre, SD, Father: Teton Ducheneaux of Eagle Butte, SD, Brothers: Talon Ducheneaux of Pierre, SD, and Lonny Lesmeister.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandmother Helena Howe-Harrison, aunt Darla Howe, Cousin Zane Azure, cousin Scoots Meyer, and aunt Raquel Ducheneaux who were all there to welcome him home.
