Obituary

Funeral services for Saraia L. Harrison, 30, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 1:00 pm Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson with burial in the Conkicaska Presbyterian Cemetery at Fort Thompson. Wake services will be Thursday and Friday evening at 8:00 pm at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson.

Saraia L. Harrison, 30, passed away on May 27, 2018 at Fort Thompson.

Saraia LaFawn Harrison was born at Chamberlain, SD on September 18, 1987 to Orlando Hayes of Oakland, CA and June Harrison of Fort Thompson, SD.  She attended school in Fort Thompson and Crow Creek High School.  She worked at Crow Creek Headstart as a teacher's aide.

Saraia loved working with the children.  She was a happy, outgoing, loving, person who got along with everybody.  She said she wanted to be like Dawni "Ducks ", have all kinds of roper's and dress cowgirl!  Grandma Roberts said "She never seen her get mad." She loved to cook, clean, and help everyone out.

Saraia's going to be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother June Harrison; father Orlando Hayes, Sr.; special friend Leland Drapeau; brothers Isiah Harrison, Joshua Harrison, and Orlando Hayes, Jr.; sisters Porsche Garner and Lexus Hayes; her maternal grandmother Roberta Harrison; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents Claude Hayes and Bernice Tooks; maternal grandfather Paul Harrison; aunts and uncles Corb Shoots The Enemy, Sheree D. Lee, Barbara Harrison, Paula Harrison, Arnie Ray, and Steve Harrison; and a special cuz Kiya Evans.
