Sally K. Meyer, 80, from Pukwana passed away on May 13th, 2023, in Pensacola, FL.  A small family funeral service was held in Pensacola after her death prior to cremation.

Sally Kathleen Meyer was born on November 12, 1942, at Chamberlain, SD, to Gerald R. London and Mary-Lois (Sinclair) London.  She grew up in Denver, CO and moved with her family from Englewood, CO back to Pukwana, SD right after her senior year in HS.  Her father, who was a WW2 Seabee was hired to work on the Lake Francis Case Project with the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Sally started working at St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain.  She and her best friend Ms. Pat Bely roomed together for several years.  Sally first met her future husband "Charlie" Meyer at St Anthony's Church in Pukwana and were eventually married in 1964.

Sally had her son Michael on August 6, 1965 and was a very devoted and loving mother.  She took care of her family and enjoyed being a mom.  Her favorite thing in life was to be around family.  She enjoyed traveling when possible and loved shopping with her mother and sisters at Crazy Days in Mitchell and Chamberlain.  Card games at her mom and dad's house in Kimball were full of laughter and always funny stories.

Sally had lovely flower gardens and enjoyed decorating and gardening.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking.  She helped with the farming and animal care when needed and seemed to always stay busy.

She and Charlie enjoyed ballroom dancing for years, getting together frequently with Walter & Betty Swanson, Chester & Marie Pazour, Glen and Jeanie Olson, Ralph and Francis Mitchell, and Lionel and Sidney Hoffman and many other dancing friends.

She was a member of the Country Colleens Extension Club and enjoyed get-togethers and visits.

Later in life she loved spoiling her three grandkids and created all sorts of cute clothes and outfits.  Sewing was fun for her, and she was great at it and enjoyed it a lot.  She loved the Lord and was a very sweet woman.

In 2018 it was decided to move to Florida to be closer to immediate family.  Unfortunately, shortly after moving, Sally started suffering from Dementia and later Alzheimer's during her final years of life.

Charles and Sally were together for 58 years, and leave behind their sister Eileen Meyer in Chicago, their son Michael & wife Jackie (Jacobs) Meyer, daughter-in-law Linda (Giese) Rose, grandson Steven & Julie (Byrd) Meyer, grand-daughter Rebecca (Meyer) Sexton, grandson Matthew & Emily (Hunt) Meyer, and great-grandson's Adyn Meyer, Cillian Meyer, & Tommy Sexton, and great-grand daughters Elliot Sexton & Sadie Meyer.   They also leave Immediate Family members Pat and Nancy London, Ginger and Dennis Urban, Maureen and John Gerdes, Marianne London, & Donna and Mike Dekemper.  Nephew Walter Stearns and Eugene Dizon from the Meyer side, and 19 Nephews and Nieces from the London side.

Preceding Charles and Sally in death were parents Mary & Paul Meyer and Gerald & Lois London, sister Joan Stearns, brothers-in-law Geoff Fletcher, Leonard Stearns, Gene London, Mike London, & nephew Kelly Urban.
