No services will be held for Robert W. Kiehn, 78 of Kennebec.

Robert Wayne Kiehn was born February 3, 1940 at Chamberlain SD to Herbert and Adda (Merrihew) Kiehn.  During his younger years, the family lived on a farm south of Pukwana in the Bijou Hills area before moving to Kennebec in 1947.   He attended school at the North Dorman Country School north of Kennebec.  Robert helped his father farm until taking it over after his father's retirement.  He worked for the Mortenson Brothers doing carpentry.  Together with his brother Raymond, they operated a trucking business.  Robert spent his entire life on the family farm.

Robert loved spending time with his dog Minnie.  Robert did not have many hobbies except for working but after losing his eyesight, he spent his time listening to the radio and TV.

Robert passed away on December 15, 2018 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 78 years.  Survivors include his brother Raymond Kiehn, sisters Loretta and Lorraine Kiehn of Kennebec, and many cousins.  Preceding him in death were his parents and several aunts and uncles.
