Robert W. Colombe, Sr. was born August 31 , 1943 to Mary Crow Colombe and Winfred Colombe and his biological father Leonard Pease, Sr. Robert was raised in Carter, SD by his mother and father Winfred Colombe. He attended St. Francis Catholic School.

Robert was united in marriage to Pearl Kennedy in November 17 , 1971. From this union they had a blended family of 10 kids, Gary Fisher, Anthony (Susanne) Kennedy (Lower Brule, SD), Laura (Kennedy) St. John (Winner, SD), Elaine Kennedy (Chamberlain, SD), Priscilla Colombe (Crow Creek, SD), Eric (Christina) Colombe (Denver, CO), Colin Colombe (Lower Brule, SD), Roberta (Kent) McLaughlin (Rapid City, SD), Jenny (Farley) Colombe-Hawk (Fort Thompson, SD).
Robert worked at the Crow Creek High School for 30 years as a bus driver/custodian. Robert spent his life as a family man. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, car races, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Sarah Colombe, mother, Mary Crow Colombe, his father Winfred Colombe and Leonard Pease, Sr., his wife Pearl Colombe, his son, Robert Colombe, Jr., brothers, Leonard Pease, Jr., Wallace Pease, Sr., Richard Pease, sisters, Sharon Hawk, Janet Pease and Brenda Dion.
