Obituary

Robert (Bob) Louis Burget

July 22, 1927- July 25, 2025

The dash between dates was filled to the brim by Robert, also known as a husband,Pastor Bob, daddy, grandpa, great-papa, missionary, son, brother.  To many, he was simply Brother Bob -- a man deeply loved, whose legacy lives in countless stories that could fill volumes.

Robert joined this world on July 22, 1927 in Pasadena, CA to Donald and Clara (Sampson) Burget.  Joining sister Betty, and was followed by Dorothy, Ronnie, Helen Jo, Barb and David.

He moved to Minneapolis in his early 20's where he met Hazel A Larson.  They were married on July 27, 1950.  They spent 70 wonderful years together before the passing of Hazel, the love of his life.  Together they served faithfully that led them to 7 states and at least 10 churches before "retiring" to Arizona.  Bob never stepped away from his calling.  For nearly 30 more years he was ministering and mentoring with Scottsdale Worship Center as well as missionary fields around the world.  Bob spent a total of 74 years leading and pointing people to God.

Bob left this earth surrounded by family and entered into heaven ready to worship God for eternity. We are comforted knowing he heard the words "Well done, good and faithful servant".  Bob has left a legacy of prayer, devotion to spouse, trust in God, and love of people.  We will miss him dearly, but we rejoice in the hope of being reunited in heaven.

Bob is survived by his children Ken (Becky) Burget, Randall Burget, Linda (Lowell) Peterson.  Grandchildren Lachelle (Kris) Olivier, Jeremy (Kendra) Burget, Lonnie (Ashley) Peterson, Thaddeus John (Amanda) Burget, Amanda (Richard) Bennett.  Great-Grandchildren Ty Graesser, Barrett Olivier, Aine Graesser, Chloe Olivier, Vincent Burget, Logan Peterson, Jentzen Peterson, Catherine Peterson, Rebecca Bennett, Richard Bennett III, Robert Bennett, Ryan Bennett.

Per Robert's request, no services will be held.
