Robert S. Andrews, a decorated Air Force veteran, accomplished professional, loving husband, and devoted father, passed away on April 9, 2026. He was 82 years old and made his home in Fairfax, VA.

Born on April 3, 1944 in Rochester, NY, to John G. Andrews and Josephine (Pillard) Andrews. Bob spent his formative years in San Diego, CA, where he graduated from Clairmont High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from San Diego State in 1967 and later obtained master's degree from the University of Southern California.

Bob proudly served his country for 27 years in the United States Air Force, where he rose to the rank of Colonel. His military career was dedicated to working with the National Reconnaissance Office, contributing to critical advancements in intelligence and national security.  Following his Air Force retirement, Bob continued his work with the National Reconnaissance Office as part of MANTECH, where he applied his expertise and leadership to projects of national importance.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Annie; his former wife, JoAnne and their two children, Margaret Andrews of Roseville, CA and Ryan Andrews of San Clemente, CA; as well as his brother, Gregory Andrews. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him and admired him.
