Funeral services for Richard Charles "Rick" LaRoche, 68, of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Lower Brule Community Center at Lower Brule with burial in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.

Rick passed away on March 20, 2023 at home in Lower Brule, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave from funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (NOON)

Richard C. LaRoche was born December 14, 1954 to Vera LaRoche and Norman Wilson in Pierre SD. He grew up in Fort Pierre where he graduated from high school and then joined the U.S. Navy.

He lived in Pierre with his mother before they moved to Lower Brule where he resided until his last days. His hobbies were reading, doing puzzles, hanging out with friends at the friendship house and playing pool. He would get out to make his visit through the community when he was able too. Oh, and he love to listen to music and he collected newspaper stories.

Rick passed away on March 20, 2023. He is survived by his five sisters Emma LaRoche, Marilyn Whitney, Sandra Swift Eagle, Donna Huber and Roberta "Patsy" Schuler; and his brother Tony LaRoche Jr.

Preceded in his death were his mother Vera St. Pierre LaRoche and father Norman Wilson; sister Amy Delaney and Robin LaRoche; brothers Marvin, Louis, William LaRoche and Francis Ziegler.
