Funeral services for Rhonda Thigh, 43, of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 pm Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule with burial in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD. Wake services will be Thursday and Friday evening at 8:00 pm at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.

Rhonda Lee Thigh was born March 11, 1978 to Carol Lee Thigh and Samuel Raymond Thigh Jr. in Chamberlain, SD.  Rhonda grew up in Lower Brule and attended St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain. At the age of 17, Rhonda became a parent.  Although she was young, she continued to live her life and also came to have ten children.

Rhonda loved her children and grandchildren.  She loved to joke and tease around. Some may call it talking "smack" and if you knew her then you knew she loved to laugh.

Rhonda passed away on March 29, 2021 at Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 43 years.  Gratefully sharing her life are her children Rhea Thigh, Garrett Goodlow, Selena Goodlow, Mary Goodlow, Jarrett Thigh, Keshaume Thigh, Eric Thigh, Eden Thigh, Ethan Thigh, Ryleah Thigh; grandchildren Owen (Kenyon) Goodlow, Robyn LaRoche, Amyrah Bishop, Passion Bishop, Everly Sully, Haisley Goodlow, Zaiden (Goodlow) Spider, Avery Sully, Zakari Thigh, Rayona Spider, Rilynn LaRoche, her mother Carol Thigh, siblings Russell Thigh, Robert Thigh, Ronnie Thigh, Roberta Thigh, and Raymond Thigh, maternal grandparents Cephis Goodface Sr. and Alice Ann Rencountre, paternal grandparents Samuel Raymond Thigh Sr. and Nellie (Thomas) Thigh.

Preceding her in death are her father Samuel Raymond Thigh Jr., brothers Robert Rae Thigh and Wally Thigh, special son Leon Whitney, and uncle Cephis Goodface Sr.
