Raydin Rayshawn was born on March 11, 2023, at 6:24pm weighing 6lbs14oz in Chamberlain, South Dakota. He was born to Karin Thompson and Dante Standsoverbull. Despite his short time on earth, Raydin was deeply loved and appreciated. He was such a gentle baby, always attentive, and curious about the world around him, and loved being held and sung too His brief presence touched the hearts of everyone he met. Sadly, Raydin Rayshawn made his journey into the spirit world on March 23, 2023 at 6:52am after battling a sudden and unexpected illness.
Raydin is survived by his Mom and Dad Karin Thompson and Dante Standsoverbull; Siblings Stormie Rae Standsoverbull, hunka brother Ryder Lee Thompson; Special Aunty/Mom Mary Elsa Thompson; Aunties Nia and Lena Standsoverbull; Uncles Denver Bud Thompson, Anthony Allen Thompson, Azriel Fallis, Leo Goes Ahead, and Keith Standsoverbull; Grandmothers Bobbi Spider, Roberta Walks, Raylene Prettyontop, Marla Goes Ahead, Gina Gladman, Marissa Spider, Dena Drapeau, Karlene (Keith) Heth, and Karrie Thompson; Grandfathers Conrad Standsoverbull, Jon Collins, Wellman Collins, Preston Collins, Chris (Keri) Spider, John (Judy) Thompson, and Tommy (Donelle) Thompson; Special Great-grandmothers Lana Drapeau, Kathy Rencountre, Ella (Emery) Flute, Mona Rencountre, and Belinda Joe; The Collins family, Standsoverbull family, Gourneau family, Gladman family, Thompson family, Rencountre family, and many more relatives too numerous to mention.
Raydin was welcomed into the spirit world by his paternal grandparents Celeste Red Elk and Raymond Standsoverbull, maternal grandfather Kevin Thompson, paternal great-grandparents Patricia and Raymond Standsoverbull, Russell Red Elk, Violet Cook, Kathleen Cook, Marjorie Cook, Loylee Cook, and Robert Cook, maternal great grandparents Karen and Harold Thompson, Valerie Medicine Cedar, Cecelia Medicine Cedar, Robert Drapeau (Droop), Whitney and Thelma Rencountre, Stella Spider, maternal grandpa Justin Drapeau, and maternal uncle Noah Thompson.
Join us in the celebration and remembrance of Raydin Rayshawn's life at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, with a wake service on Tuesday, March 28th at 7:00pm and funeral service on Wednesday March 29th, at 10:00am. Interment will be at the Immaculate Conception cemetery in Stephan, SD.
