Phillip "Chris" Christopher Bearface Jr., of Fort Thompson, passed away on March 23, 2021 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 45 years old.

Chris was born on July 27, 1975 in Chamberlain, SD to Winifred Jones and Phillip Christopher Bearface Sr. He grew up mainly in the Fort Thompson area, but attended Nemo Job Corp. in Boxelder, SD where he completed high school. In 1995, Chris graduated from the Masonry Program. Throughout his life, he found employment in many different areas of construction, but he discovered his most satisfying career yet as a Blackjack Dealer at both the Lode Star Casino and the Golden Buffalo Casino. He loved being a Blackjack Dealer, especially the tips! Chris had a special knack for this fast paced job which required him to think on his feet, total up, and keep track of all the players' hands. He also had to be aware of anyone attempting to cheat or count cards, all while being able to laugh and socialize with those around him. This made him a favorite amongst the players, as evident from the abundance of tips he earned each shift. Blackjack was his game!

On May 25, 2006 Phillip C. was joined in Holy Matrimony to Kimberly B. Big Eagle. To this union, three children were born. Chris was a family man who also played the big part in taking care of his stepson and extended hunka family.

Chris is survived by his wife Kimberly (Big Eagle) Bearface, his children Phillip Justice Bearface, Ramon Theo Big Eagle, Chloe Cecelia Wanita Ann Bearface, Garrett Hawk, Ethan Big Wagle, and Shaynna (Johnny) Walking Bull all of Fort Thompson, Jesse (Kayla) Grey Owl of Sioux Falls, and Ryanna Obaga, one granddaughter Da Ryah Love Sitting Crow of Fort Thompson, and one brother Michael Bearfac of Chamberlain, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents Winifred and Phillip, maternal grandparents Stanley and Rebecca Jones, and a special cousin Becky Taylor.
