Funeral services Patty A. Powers, 67, of Pukwana, SD will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2025 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Kimball, SD with burial in the St. Margaret's Catholic Cemetery at Kimball, SD.  Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Margaret's Catholic Church.

Patricia Ann Powers was born on November 1st, 1957 to Martin and Lorine (Spier) Powers. She grew up on their family farm outside of Kimball, SD. Patty was the fifth of six children. She attended school in Kimball, SD and graduated in 1976. After graduation, Patty attended Nettleton College in Sioux Falls, SD for secretarial studies. She later moved back to the Chamberlain area and was employed at Al's Oasis as a cashier for a number of years. In March of 1984, her first son, Cole, was born. She was united in marriage to John Stellwag in July of 1986. In November of 1987, their son Cory was born. Their daughter Michelle was born in August of 1990. Around this time, she began working at Mid Dakota Medical Center in Chamberlain, SD where she dedicated 28 years of her life. She built life-long friendships with many of her co-workers over the years. Patty was united in marriage to Mike Miller in December of 2008 and resided in Pukwana.

Patty enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafting, baking, and reading. She enjoyed spending time outside and liked to fish or just take a drive to see the countryside. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. They were the highlight of her life when she was able to spend time with them.

Patty passed away on February 15th, 2025 at the age of 67 at the Sanford Chamberlain Care Center in Chamberlain, SD.

Grateful for sharing in her life were her son Cole (Michell) Stellwag, son Cory (Angel) Stellwag, and daughter Michelle (Preston) Chmela, seven grandchildren: Derek, Garrett, Connor, Jackson, Weston, Colbie, Kayce, three siblings Raymond (Bonnie) Powers, Richard "Dick" Powers, and Kathy (Bruce) Pollard, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lorine Powers, sister Janice Knochenmus, and brother Martin "Jim" Powers.
