Patricia Ann Cerrato was born October 28, 1942 at the Westchester Square Hospital in the Bronx, New York to Thomas and Ruth (Ellingsen) Cerrato.

Penny passed away on January 31, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain at the age of 79 years.

Survivors include her husband William "Wild Bill" Hannel, her son Bryan, five grandchildren, four stepsons Larin, Josh, Ashton, and Shaine, her brother James Cerrato and wife Margo, three sisters Marilyn "Liz" Cerrato, Diana Billard, and Ruth Caldara and husband Robert, six nephews, and six nieces, along with many many friends she made throughout the years .

Preceding her in death were her parents and grandparents.
