Ronald LeRoy Pulscher was born May 16, 1948 to George and Anetta (Tompkins) Pulscher in Flandreau, SD, the fourth of six children.  Ron was raised in the rural area of Brookings, SD.  He graduated from high school in Volga, SD. He received his call to the pastoral ministry at the age of sixteen.  Ron attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology in 1970.  He began his pastoral career as a Youth Pastor in Sioux Falls and Brookings.  On August 11, 1973, Ron was united in marriage to Doris Kasson.  Together they served churches in South Dakota, Wyoming, Iowa, Colorado, and Minnesota.  They had two children Aaron and Ruth who played a huge part in their ministry.

Ron delighted in his children and grandchildren.  He loved family outings to the "Hills" for motorcycle riding.  He loved gardening and he planted a garden at every house. Whenever we moved, he would leave behind a rosebush.  Every Mother's Day he would give the ladies of the church flowers in honor of his mother.  Ron was an expert jelly maker and a gourmet cook.

Ron's passion was for the Word of God.  He absolutely loved to preach! He always had two or three sermons rolling around in his head at any given time.  Ron enjoyed preaching from the Epistles, especially Romans.

Ron entered Glory on July 17, 2019.  He is survived by his wife Doris; son Aaron (July) Pulscher of McPherson, KS; daughter Ruth (Scott) Franke of Rapid City, SD; three grandchildren Ezra, Elli, and Lani Pulscher of McPherson, KS; four brothers Wayne Pulscher of Brookings, SD, Robert (Sharon) Pulscher of Palmer, NE, Jim (Priscilla) Pulscher of Brookings, SD, and Calvin (Tweenee) Pulscher of Aurora, SD; a sister Linda (John) Palmer of Wayzata, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two nieces, a great niece and a sister-in-law.
