Funeral services for Nancy Sharpfish, 42, of Chamberlain, SD will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson with burial in the Christ Episcopal Cemetery at Fort Thompson. Wake services will be Monday at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson.
Nancy Sazue-Walking Eagle 42, of Chamberlain, SD was born April 12, 1977 to Trina Walking Eagle and Jerry Sazue. She attended elementary and middle school at Rosebud Tribal School and St Joseph's Indian School where Nancy participated in Cheerleading and Basketball. She from there went to Crow Creek High School, where she met and married Conrad Medicine Crow Sr, and to their union 3 boys were born. She later succeeded in attaining her GED and worked many jobs but was always best at being a homemaker. Nancy was a kind hearted person who tried her best to make sure everyone she crossed paths with felt loved and was taken care of. She had a Gypsy soul and could make a home anywhere she wished.
Nancy began her journey to heaven on January 23rd, 2020 at Sanford Hospice, where she was surrounded by her family and an abundance of love. Nancy is survived by her 3 children who she loved "with all her heart" her baby boys, Conrad Jr (Trista) Medicine Crow of Fort Thompson, SD, Craig (Carol) Medicine Crow of Chamberlain, SD, & Jacob (Daylon) Medicine Crow of El Paso, TX. Her 2 precious grand daughters Ciara & Chasidy Medicine Crow, and her only grandson Oakley Medicine Crow. Her father Jerry Sazue, Sisters Tanya, Sioux, and Renae Walking Eagle, Nellie & Elizabeth Thunderhawk. Leslie, Hilary, Cheyenne, and Tylie Sazue. Fawn Drapeau & Jessica Withhorn. Brothers Lloyd Walking Eagle, William & Vincent Thunderhawk. Brandon, Jason, Brent & Jeremy, Sazue. And many other special relatives; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. She is proceeded in death by her Mother Trina Walking Eagle, Grandmother Aggie Walking Eagle, Grandfather Billy Sazue, and her beloved Brother Stanley Craig Walking Eagle.
