Funeral services for Myron D. "Hank" Kirkie Sr., 53, of Lower Brule, SD will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in the Cemetery

Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Sunday and Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday from the funeral home.

Myron Dale "Hank" Kirkie Sr. was born November 5, 1971, to Judy Grey Cloud and Leon Kirkie in Wessington Springs, SD.  Our Cowboy was called home on November 18, 2024

Hank grew up in Fort Thompson, SD.  He attended elementary school in Fort Thompson, SD and high school at Crow Creek Tribal Schools in Stephan, SD & Flandreau Indian School at Flandreau, SD.

Hank held various jobs throughout his life. He was best known for being a ranch hand and breaking horses. He also worked as a railroad laborer, security guard during Covid for both Fort Thompson and Lower Brule, and security guard for the C-store in Fort Thompson.  He was a hard worker until the very end.

Some of Myron's hobbies include: ranch hand work, breaking horses, fishing, cooking out, having a good time, he liked to raise hell and tease people, he had a good sense of humor, and he was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need.

From Hank's first relationship, his children Myron Kirkie Jr. and Mahlon Kirkie were born.

Hank met the love of his life, Brandy Crazy Bull, in 2010 and the two were married on November 5, 2019 in Chamberlain, SD. To this union, Kayden Albert Kirkie was born.

Hank is loved by all his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Hank is survived by his wife Brandy Crazy Bull, children: Myron Kirkie Jr., Mahlon Kirkie, Kayden Kirkie, Chassidy Crazy Bull, LaToya Crazy Bull; sisters: Jody Kirkie, Rona Kirkie, January Hawk; brothers: Craig Kirkie, Willard Kirkie, Monte Kirkie, Russell Kirkie, Ryan Kirkie, JoJo Kirkie; three special uncles: Uncle Dick, Uncle Melby, and Uncle Puggy; special aunt: Doris; and numerous other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Preceding him in death were his parents Judy Grey Cloud and Leon Kirkie, paternal grandparents Leon and Laura Kirkie; maternal grandparents Cedric and Zona Grey Cloud; sister Kendra Kirkie; brothers Kevin and Leon Kirkie; a niece Tauni Kirkie; nephew Tori Kirkie, and numerous other relatives.
