Private family services for Monty McBride, 58, of Rapid City, SD will be at a later date in Sturgis SD

Monty McBride began his journey into the Spirit World on November 17, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City SD.

Monty Gerald McBride was born May 23, 1961 to Gladys McBride and Milton Young in Pierre, SD.  He went to the Pierre Public Schools and in 1997 he moved to Sturgis, SD where he met and married Mavis Cassel.  After getting married, they moved to Rapid City where he worked construction.  Monty was a private and humble man who enjoyed playing cards, pool, and watching TV.

Monty is survived by a sister Kathy (Bill) Hackett of Sturgis, SD; a brother Arnold McBride of Lynch, NE; a daughter Malissa Betts of Pierre, SD; three granddaughters and a grandson all of Pierre, SD; nephew Bill Hackett, Jr. and a niece Becky Hackett.

Preceding him in death were his wife Mavis; his parents; a son Michael; a sister Linda Duffy; two brothers Gilbert McBride and Robert McBride.
