Funeral services for Michael L. Jandreau, 54, of Lower Brule, SD will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lower Brule, SD with burial at the Jandreau Ranch Family Plot in Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lower Brule, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave from funeral home on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.

Michael L. Jandreau was born to Michael B. and Jackie R. Jandreau on November 18, 1970. He grew up on the family ranch with his siblings Rhonda, Amy, Patrick, Jeffrey, Jerauld and Mary Jo attending school at Lower Brule from elementary through high school. He attended college at Northern State University in Aberdeen, achieving an associate's degree in business. Michael worked for the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe in various positions including at the Golden Buffalo Casino and in his last position at the Lower Brule Schools as a bus driver, a job which he really enjoyed.

Michael loved to read, go to the movies, attend family cook outs and spend time at the river. He was very intelligent and full of knowledge on many topics of interest, including current events and historical facts. He loved to gamble and visit with friends and family. He was very generous and kind. Although Michael had no children of his own, he greatly loved all of his nieces and nephews as his own. He enjoyed traveling to new places and in the last few years he went on a cruise ship on the ocean.

Micheal was affected by serious health problems in the last two years which he fought very hard to manage but unfortunately could not overcome. Knowing Michael's caring spirit, he would want his loved ones to find comfort that he is now free from suffering and pain and is now reunited with his Mom, Dad, & Brothers and Sister, who he loved and missed so very much.

Preceding him in passing are his parents Jackie and Mike, brothers Martin, Kim, Patrick, Jeffery, sister Amy; grandparents Dorothy & Dave Jones, Leo "Tete" Jandreau, Velda Langdeau Quilt, Phillip N. Banks; Uncles Jerauld, Papa Terry, Vance, Scott, Sam, Louie, and Aunties Kay and Baunita.

Surviving Michael are siblings Rhonda and John; Jerauld & Trish; Mary Jo & Davis, (Lower Brule, SD) and Lynn (Mission, SD); nieces and nephews Amanda, Alex, John Tayler, Shanda, Tayden, Macy, Kai, Liam, Rex, William, Hadley, Rowdy, Laddy, Jaqueline, Buddy, Jeff Jr., Elias, Carsyn, Michael; aunts & uncles Marilyn KK Whitney, Karen Jones, Jan & Jim Brouse, Emma & Cody Russell, Harv LaRoche, Tony Pudgy LaRoche; Auntie Gwen Jandreau, and all of his cousins who he loved as brothers and sisters.
