Funeral services for Meta E. Davis, 56, of Rapid City formerly of Chamberlain, SD will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday , December 20, 2022 at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain with burial in the Riverview Cemetery in Chamberlain. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral services on Saturday.

Our beloved, Meta Evon Davis, passed away on December 6, 2022 with family and friends by her side in Rapid City, SD.  She was 56.

Meta was born in Leavenworth, KS on January 31, 1966 to Ben and Mary (Everett) Davis. She spent her early childhood in Germany and Kansas as her father was in the military.  Meta settled in Chamberlain, SD after Ben retired from the military and later moved to Rapid City, SD.

Meta enjoyed hockey, fishing and doing crafts.  She also loved watching her Kansas City Chiefs.   She loved and collected Mickey Mouse items.  Meta also loved her cats including her most recent cat Paws.  She enjoyed volunteering including helping with Feeding South Dakota and participating in consumer council.

Meta is survived by one brother, Stephen (Tammy) Treat, Leavenworth, KS, two sisters Rose (Norm) Solhiem, Sioux Falls, SD, and Anna (Steve) Hughes, Alta, IA; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; very special cousins Jim and Lucille Hodges, Rapid City, SD and very special friend Montie Barkley, Rapid City, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ben Davis and Mary Sanderson; one brother Allen Davis.
