Obituary

Funeral services for Matthew B. Adams, 32, of Sioux Falls & Chamberlain, SD will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson,  SD with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery at Fort Thompson, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday from the funeral home.

Matthew Boyd Adams, 32, was born on May 15, 1992 to Chantelle Gourneau and Mike Adams at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.  Matthew passed away on December 3, 2024 in Chamberlain, SD.

Matthew was known to many as Madd Max, Rambo or Pony Boy.  He was loved by many.  Matthew was never biased towards gays.  He loved his baby brother Elias and always protected him.

Matthew went to elementary school at St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain.  Then attended middle school and high school at Crow Creek where he graduated in 2011.  Matthew was a hard worker.  He worked construction most of his life.  He built commercial properties and big beautiful homes in and around the Sioux Falls area for over ten years or more.  He also loved working on cars or any ride he could get his hands on he would fix it up.

Matthew later married and had five boys: Matthew Jr., Atreus, Kyle, Eric, and Aurelio.  Matthew also had a son, Braxton.  He loved spending time with his boys.  Matthew loved each of them with all his heart.

Matthew is survived by his mother Chantelle Gourneau of Chamberlain, SD, father Mike Adams of Sioux Falls, SD, his baby brother Elias Steven of Sioux Falls, SD, his sister Samantha Adams of Sioux Falls, SD, and sister Toni One Feather of Fort Thompson, SD, Matthew's six sons Braxton Dion of Fort Thompson, SD, Matthew Jr., Atreus, Kyle, Eric, and Aurelio Adams all of Sioux Falls, SD.

Matthew was reunited with his family, his grandpa Gilbert Adams, his grandma Henrietta "Katie" Adams, his cousin Trevor Lopez, his grandpa Steve Gourneau, his grandma Lorraine (Blaine) Gourneau, his great grandma Ruby Blaine, his cousins Adrian, Anthony, and Jaramy, his grandma Sherry Blaine, and grandpa Larry Blaine Sr.
