On June 25th, 1955 Mary Lou was united in marriage to Bill Gilman. The couple lived their entire lives in Lyman County. During her early years, she was a farm wife and raised her two daughters. The family moved to town in 1969 where she held numerous jobs including: Gilman Chevrolet, the Lyman County Courthouse, Al's Oasis, and Hutch's Cafe. Mary Lou was actively involved in the 4-H program, Busy Bee Club, and the UMW.
She loved being around people and her best days were filled with company. Her special people were "honey girls" and "honey boys." Like her Facebook posts, her life WAS ALL CAPS! Mary Lou and Bill traveled many places, but her heart was always home with her girls, grandkids, and great grands. She loved going to ball games, music concerts, reading books, camping, fishing, playing with Tibi, and going to coffee. Most days you could find her in her favorite chair, singing to and rocking her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the holidays, and her house was always decorated for them all.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Gaylene Gilman and Syndi (Lee) Ozanne, her grandchildren Randi (Jeff) Hartman, Jordi (Will) Gauer, Cassi (Nick) Jorgensen, and Tanner (Ashley) Ozanne, eight great grandchildren, her inlaws outlaws, Ron & Myrna Gilman, Jim & Karen Gilman, and Alyce McKay, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, two infant sisters, grandparents, and parents in law.
