Obituary

Funeral services for Marlon L. Sitting Crow, age 44, of Fort Thompson, will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD. Burial will follow at the Christ Episcopal Cemetery in Fort Thompson, SD. Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021 and Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD.

Marlon "Autha" Lewis Sitting Crow was born on April 25 th , 1977 to Victor Sitting Crow and Katherine St. John in Fort Thompson, SD. He was a twin, but his twin sister, Babygirl Sitting Crow, died at birth. He was the fourth born out of nine children. Marlon made his journey to the spirit world on June 12 th , 2021.

Marlon attended grade school at Fort Thompson Elementary in Fort Thompson, SD. He went to high school at Immaculate Conception Indian Mission in Stephan, SD. He worked various jobs throughout the Fort Thompson area. He was always willing to give a helping hand.

In a previous relationship, Marlon fathered a son, Darren Lewis Sitting Crow. Later on, in 1996, He met the love of his life, Eunice "Lori" Drapeau. To this union, they had one son, Elliot Stewart Sitting Crow. He also cared for and loved his five step-children and grandchildren like his own. He loved being called "Grampa".

Marlon "Autha" enjoyed fishing, watching football, listening to music, and hanging out with family and friends. Marlon always opened his home up to everyone and had a home cooked meal for them. He lived the majority of his life in Fort Thompson, SD.

Marlon "Autha" is survived by the love of his life Eunice "Lori" Drapeau, son Elliot (Kezrai) Sitting Crow of Lower Brule, SD, step-son Jeffery Fallis Jr., four step-daughters Sarah (Rob) Drapeau, Nicole Drapeau, Cynthia (Robert) Drapeau, Fayelyn (Clifford) Fallis, and granddaughter Da'Ryah Love Sitting Crow all of Fort Thompson, SD, brothers Clayton Crawford of Mankato, MN and Michael Hawk of Crow Creek, SD, three sisters Victoria Crawford, Fae Hawk, and Jasmine (Sean) Hawk all of Crow Creek, SD, aunts Wanda and Sharon St. John, and uncle Donavon St. John.

He was preceded in death by his son Darren Sitting Crow, mother Katherine St. John, father Victor Sitting Crow, brother Myron Sitting Crow, sisters Loretta and Babygirl Sitting Crow, aunts Mary Lou St. John and Barbara Blaine, and uncle Larry St. John.
