Funeral services for Margaret L. Shields Loudner, 84 of Pierre, formerly of Fort Thompson will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson with burial in St. John's Episcopal Cemetery at Crow Creek, SD.  Wake services will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson.

Margaret was born in Fort Thompson, South Dakota, her parents were Paul Shields and Mercy Ben.  Her siblings were Pauline, Joseph Paul, Edward, Clark, John and Lee

She lived in Fort Thompson until her father passed away and grew up in the Santee area.  She moved back to Fort Thompson to attend High School, living with Father Christian Whipple and family.

She married Edgar L Loudner, Sr in 1953 and had four (4) children. Cynthia Kay (Cindy), Edgar Lewis (Chippy), Candace LuAnna (Candy) and Clarence Bradly Lyle (Crunch)

Margaret made her homes in Fort Thompson, Santee, Vermillion, Rapid City and Pierre, SD

She was secretary for Fort Thompson Elementary Schools for many years, Crow Creek Housing and was an Emergency Medical Technician.

She loved her music with her love of collecting albums, cassettes and CDs. Elvis, Eagles, Michael Bolton, Leo Sayer and Vince Gill. She sure loved to dance! She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and visiting her children and grandchildren.  She loved to watch Baseball and Basketball and knew all the stats of her favorite Twins and Lakers. She loved Isiah Thomas and Oscar DeLaHoya.

She loved and collected frogs, stuffed frogs anything froggy. She loved being a Mom. Gramma and Auntie.
