Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Lower Brule SD, with burial in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church Hall in Lower Brule, SD.

Lynettte Kayleen LaRoche was born on May 22, 1972 at Chamberlain SD to Richard John LaRoche Sr. and Kayleen LaRoche. She was raised in Lower Brule SD. She attended Flandreau Indian School in Flandreau, SD and Lower Brule High School in Lower Brule, SD.

In high school she met her love Kalvin Johnson Sr. to this union they had four children, Kevin Johnson, Darius Laroche, Kellie Johnson, Kezrai Laroche along with their half siblings Kalvin Johnson Jr, and Fayelee Johnson.

Lynette worked various jobs in the community such as working in the community office, working as a supervisor in summer youth, and being a housekeeper at the Golden Buffalo Casino Motel, and being a daycare worker/teacher. Soon she devoted her time to raising her children and grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed.

Lynette entered the Spirit World on June 25, 2024 in her home amongst her family and children in West Brule at the age of 52.

Gratefully sharing her life are her daughters Kellie Johnson, Kezrai LaRoche and her siblings Carol, Heidi (Dorma), Richard, Cameron. Also sharing her life is her love Samuel Flute Sr, her many nieces and nephews and the grandchildren she loved Eugene Travis Johnson and Emerson Lee Sitting Crow.

Preceding her in death father Richard LaRoche Sr., mother Kayleen LaRoche, sons Darius LaRoche and Kevin Johnson, aunties Geraldine, Lynda, and Baunita, uncles Clayton, Jensen, Johnnie, and Scotty, and granddaughter Audrey Marie.
