A Celebration of Life Service for Lyle J. Strang, 81, of Chamberlain formerly of Gillette, WY will be held at a later date.

Lyle J. Strang, son of Andrew and Margaret (Hoff) Strang, was born on April 1st 1940 in Nashua MN. He was one of 10 children. He grew up in Madison, SD and attended St Thomas Catholic School.  He married Maxine Margeson on April 29th 1967.

Lyle received his apprenticeship as an electrician with Barger Electric in Madison. He worked at Wenks Chicken Farm until 1985, then moved to Gillette Wyoming and worked various oil fields and Greg's welding until his retirement.

Lyle made his home in Chamberlain SD in May of 2018. He enjoyed working with his hands on anything electrical or mechanical, making various lamps and clocks, and tinkering with vehicles.

Lyle passed away on January 11, 2022 at Sanford Care Center in Chamberlain, SD.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Lawrence (Irean), George (Deloris aka Toots), Melvin and Sylvester (LaVina), sisters Alice (Ed) Kern, Dorothy (Don) Beyer and Rinelda Hunt.

He is survived by his children Terry, Lisa and Bob Strang, six grandchildren Kayla (Phil), Kylie (Cody), Mason, Carter, Jacob, Cody, and two great granddaughters Kalina and Lennox, a sister Rose Shoenrock of Colman SD, and brother Milton (JoAnn) Strang of Alliance NE.
