Funeral services for Loverine Walking Bull, 17, of Aberdeen, SD will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery at Fort Thompson, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD.

Loverine Lucy Walking Bull was born on June 18, 2004 to Gary Walking Bull Sr. and Ronnelle St. Pierre.  Loverine made her journey to the Spirit World on December 21, 2021.

Loverine grew up in Aberdeen, SD and attended elementary school there and later attended St. Joseph's Indian School from third grade to sixth grade.  Loverine then went on to middle school at Crow Creek Tribal Schools where she graduated from the eighth grade.

Loverine's favorite basketball team was the Duke Blue Devils.  She loved playing basketball, hanging out with her family and friends.  She also loved playing cards and dice games.  She loved going for walks, listening to music, had a passion with the sky, moon, and stars.  She also loved taking pictures of herself.

Loverine was always smiling and loved to make the one's around her laugh.  She was a very kind loving person, always put other before herself.  She always made sure everyone around her was good.  She was such a confident person in life.  If she put her mind to something she made sure it got done.

Loverine's 17 years of life made a very big impact with everyone she met.

Loverine is survived by her mother Ronnelle St. Pierre, her four brothers Narcisse Johnson Jr., Duran Walking Bull, Garrett Walking Bull, and Gary Walking Bull Jr.; niece Niyah Johnson; and maternal grandparents Ronald St. Pierre and Wanda Blaine.

Preceding her in death were her great grandmother Ruth Walking Bull, father Gary Walking Bull Sr., brothers Justin Walking Bull-Reide and Bryan St. Pierre, and uncle Dustin Walking Bull.
