Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday February 16 ^th , 2021 at the Lower Brule Community Center, Lower Brule, SD. Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday February 14 ^th , 2021 and 7:00 p.m. Monday February 15 ^th , 2021 at the Lower Brule Community Center, Lower Brule, SD.

Lorenda Middletent-Long Crow, 53, of Lower Brule, passed away on February 10 ^th , 2021 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Lorenda Lee Middletent was born on June 10, 1967 to Marilyn Goodlow and Adrian Middletent in Moorhead, MN. She attended school at Lower Brule Elementary and graduated from Lower Brule Sioux High School with the class of 1987.  Lorenda was an avid basketball player, softball player, track runner and a cheerleader for the Lower Brule Sioux throughout her high school years.  She also attended INMED during the summer to gain knowledge in Nursing.  After graduating Lorenda worked various jobs with the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe.  In 1993, she went to school in Bismarck, ND at the UTTC to get her degree in Nursing.  She worked with the Voc-Rehab program and then onto the Healthy Start as a receptionist.  She also worked as the Administrative Assistant for the schools for many years.

On February 14, 1996, she was united in marriage to Chad Long Crow and she shared many years of her life with him and to this union were three boys.  Lorenda loved her friends, relatives and family very much.  For everyone who knew Lorenda enjoyed her company.  We're going to miss that sweet smile and laughter.

Lorenda is survived by her husband Chad; her children Dean Charger, Jericho Middletent, Tahnee, Ty, Chad Jr., Benjamin, and Loren Lee; grandchildren Shi'ann Garreaux, Jillian Smith, Jerynce Middletent, Jayden Brouse, Navaya Wilson, Delilah Charger, Dustan & Dashell Knife, and Mia Charger; brother Blair and four sisters Lisa Goodlow, Carrie Middletent, Melanie Star, and Kristin Middletent.

Preceding her in death are her parents Marilyn and Adrian, brothers Kim and Curtis, a baby boy, an aunt, uncles, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
