Funeral services for Linda J. Ross, 52, of Fort Thompson will be 10:00 am Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson with burial in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Stephan, SD.  Wake services will be Tuesday and Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson.

Linda J. Ross, 52, of Fort Thompson passed away on September 15, 2018 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Linda Jean Ross was born February 4, 1966 to Lloyd Ross, Sr. and Belva (Withorn) Ross.  Linda attended school at Fort Thompson Elementary and then Crow Creek High School.  After attending Crow Creek, she went to Job Corps in Nemo where she graduated specializing in Carpentry.  She returned to the Fort Thompson area and was united in marriage to Ronald Dolezal.  To this union two children were born Eric and Samantha.  Linda and Ron parted ways and she later met Doug Rencountre and a daughter Rickey was born.

Linda loved to cook and feed whoever came to visit her at her home.

Gratefully sharing her life are her father Lloyd Ross, Sr.; three children Eric Dolezal, Samantha Dolezal, and Rickey Rencountre; three brothers Fred Comes Flying, Nathan Withorn, and Linus Comes Flying; a sister Delphine Withorn; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Preceding her in death were her mother Belva (Withorn) Ross; four brothers Bruce Withorn, George Comes Flying, and Lloyd "Chico" Ross Jr. and Gregory Ross; a sister Theresa Ann Miller; her paternal grandparents Silas and Frances Ross and maternal grandparents August and Clara Withorn.
