Funeral services for Leslie A. Wingert, 58, of Oacoma, SD will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026 at St. James Catholic Church in Chamberlain, SD with burial of the ashes in Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain. Visitation will begin at Friday at 6:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary/scripture service at St. James Catholic Church in Chamberlain, SD.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. James Catholic Church or St. James Altar Society in Leslie's name.
Leslie Ann Wingert (Leiferman) was born December 27 1967 to Sam and Kaye (Varns) Leiferman in Chamberlain SD. She attended school in Chamberlain where she graduated in 1986. Leslie later attended Mitchell Vo Tech and Northwestern Community college for Business/Computer Technology.
On May 24 1986 Leslie married Raymond wingert and to this union two kids were born.
Leslie owned several of her own businesses throughout her short life, Etzie's creation, Cherished Moments and Doxies Angels- where she was passionate in taking care of others in whatever capacity that may be.
Leslie was often the life of the party, the helpful hand, and the strong shoulder for anyone who needed it. It's these characteristics we will hold close.
Leslie passed away March 8 2026 at Sanford in Sioux Falls surrounded by her family. Gratefully sharing her life is her husband Raymond, children Juston (Maricel) Wingert, Tiffany (Jeremiah) Anderson, all of Oacoma, SD. Leslie cherished her children's spouses a loved them just as much as her own. Leslie often stated "thank God they found their person". Two grandsons Ryley VanRooyen of Greencove Springs, FL and Jake Anderson of Oacoma. Her brother Sam Leiferman of Chamberlain, SD. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and Nephews. Leslie's heart was filled with love for her dogs, and they will forever miss her too.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Sam and Kaye Leiferman, her sister Jodi Wingert, her in laws John and Darlene Wingert as well as her grandparents Albert and Rita Leiferman.
