Leatha Lea Loudner was born August 8, 1980, to Linda Metcalf and Vincent Thompson Sr. in Chamberlain, SD. After losing her mother at the age of 4 she was taken in and raised by her Aunt Anna Mae Metcalf and Emery Loudner. She attended her elementary years at St Joseph Indian School in Chamberlain and later received her GED. Leatha's only child Diamond Jewels Marie Sazue was born September 25, 2011, in Pierre, SD. where she resided before relocating to Fort Thompson. Leatha was employed at the Lode Star Motel for 6 years and most recently at the Crow Creek Convenience Store where she was loved by everyone she worked with. She made everyone laugh with her great sense of humor. And you can't forget all her crazy nicknames she had, given by all her friends!

Her health took a turn for the worse when she was diagnosed with diabetes, and she was forced to stop working to complete dialysis 3 times a week and recently had her foot amputated. Leatha was faced with many challenges, but she always did her best to persevere, and she never lost her sense of humor or her love for all her family. She left for the spirit world at the age of 41 on April 4, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

Gratefully sharing her life are her siblings Nate His Law, Misty Reed, Lynn McBride and Tristan Big Eagle. Her father Vincent Thompson Sr., sisters Barb, Vallie, Tara, Bridgette, Rochelle, Sammi, Sara and Anna. Brother's, Ronnie, Jon and Vincent Thompson, Jr.

She is preceded in death by her mother Linda Jean Metcalf. Her Aunt Anna Mae Metcalf and Emery Loudner. Maternal Grandparents Diana and Leonard Metcalf Sr. Uncles, Clifford Sr., Mike and Leonard Jr. and Auntie Rena Metcalf. Sister's Enola Sazue, Kim Bear Face and Brother Orlando Big Eagle, a very special friend and love of her life, Fabian Comes Flying.  She is also preceded in death by her Paternal sister's, Dana Keckler, Cindy and Amy Thompson. Great Grandparents Ben and Ruth Walton Thompson, Grandparent's Ben Thompson & Cissy Laroche, and Auntie Roseanne "Mikki" Laroche.
