Funeral services for Lauren Michael Bagola, 74, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 10:00 am., Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Fort Thompson Tribal Gymnasium in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in the Christ Episcopal Cemetery at Fort Thompson, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at the Fort Thompson Tribal Gymnasium in Fort Thompson.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave from funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 (NOON) p.m.

Lauren Michael Bagola was born February 16, 1949 in Hughes County to Veronica Laverne Bagola and Fielding Kills Crow.  He attended school at Gann Valley, SD living in Fort Thompson his entire life.  He was a ranch hand for Paul and Mary Daly and Connie and Mimi Olson.

He loved singing and playing guitar and harmonica.  He was a pow wow drummer for many years and loved recording all his music.

His religion, church, and music were very important in his life.

Lauren Michael passed away on June 19, 2023 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, SD.  Gratefully sharing his life are his brother Kenneth Bagola; sister Evelyn Bagola; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his siblings Geraldine, Judy, and Raymond Bagola and his Grandma Sophie Chief.
