Funeral services for Laura Reis-Fletcher, 82, of Chamberlain will be 10:30 am Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reliance with burial in the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain.  Visitation will begin Monday at 5:00 pm with a scripture service at 7:00 pm at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain.

Laura Ellis was born August 24, 1937 at Reliance to Dale and Dorothy (Mills) Ellis.  She attended country school and graduated from Chamberlain High School.

On March 13, 1955, Laura was united in marriage to Stanley Reis at Chamberlain. To this union two children were born Deb and Don.  They made their home on a ranch south of Reliance.  Laura was involved in the Friendly Neighbors Club in the Iona area. After retiring from ranching, they moved into Chamberlain.  Stanley passed away on September 20, 1994.

On November 3, 2001, Laura was united in marriage to Donald Fletcher.  They made their home in Reliance before moving to Sioux Falls, SD and later returning to Chamberlain.

Laura was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reliance where she also taught CCD.  Laura loved all kinds of wildlife.

Laura passed away on December 13, 2019 at Sanford Care Center in Chamberlain at the age of 82 years.  Gratefully sharing her life are her husband Don Fletcher of Chamberlain; her  children Deb and Don Johnson of Sioux Falls, and Don Reis of Newark, NY; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers LeRoy and Sharon Ellis of Reliance and Merrill and Myrena Ellis of Chamberlain; seven very special nieces, three nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Stanley, a special sister Dorothy Faye, and a special brother Marlin.
