Funeral services for Kurt P. Harrison, 61, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2024 at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery at Stephan, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson, SD.

Kurt passed away on July 19, 2024 at home in Fort Thompson, SD.

Kurt Paul Harrison was born on July 30, 1962 to Paul Sr. and Roberta (McBride) Harrison.  He attended grade school in Fort Thompson, Pierre Indian Learning Center, and graduated from Crow Creek High School in 1981.

Kurt was an awesome basketball player and was known at "Ice Man" "The Legend" while attending Crow Creek High School.  Kurt played on the 1980-81 basketball team that made it to the State A Basketball Tournament.  Kurt's favorite team was them "Minnesota Vikings".  He loved listening to the radio.  He had various jobs.

Kurt met Candace Crowe and a beautiful daughter was born, Cassie Lynn, who he loved very much.  He later met April Stands.

Kurt will clearly be missed by me (June) and Adolf, our German shepherd dog.  Adolph misses you and always sleeps in your room since you left.

Kurt is survived by his daughter Cassie of Sioux Falls, four sisters June Harrison of Bad Nation, Stacey Ortega of Fresno, CA, Norma Evans of Denver, CO, Laveena Cook of Wagner, SD, brothers Gary Ross of Fort Thompson, SD, Jess Harrison of Bad Nation, SD, Rex Harrison of Bullhead, SD, Arnold Harrison of Minnetonka, MN, Ed Harrison of Valentine, NE, and many other family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents Paul and Roberta Harrison, brothers Steve Harrison, Ronald Harrison, and Korbin Shoots The Enemy, sisters Barb Harrison, Paula Harrison, and Brenda Harrison.

The family would like to thank everyone for their help in any way.
