Memorial services for Kenneth G. Flute Sr. will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Fort Thompson Tribal Hall in Fort Thompson SD.  Burial of the ashes will be at a later date.

Kenneth Glen Flute Sr. was born October 20, 1965 in Wagner, SD to Margaret (Jandreau) and Harry Gaylord Flute.  In 1969, the family moved Fort Thompson where he attended school.  Later, he worked various jobs in the area.

Kenneth liked to play horseshoes, pool, and most of all enjoyed spending time outdoors.  On May 21, 2004, Kenneth was united in marriage to Crystal Hopkins-Flute.  To this union a son, Kenneth Glen Flute Jr., was born.  The light of Kenneth's eyes was his son Kenneth Jr.  His greatest joy was spending time with him playing cards or enjoying the outdoors.

Kenneth passed away on March 8, 2023 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 57 years. Gratefully sharing his life are his wife Crystal Hopkins-Flute; son Kenneth G. and Cheyenne Flute Jr.; daughter Larissa Hopkins; two grandsons Kenneth III, and Jesse James Jr.; sister Estelle Flute; and brothers Gary Flute Sr., David Flute, and Steve Flute.

Preceding him in death were his parents Margaret (Jandreau) Flute, Harry Gaylord Flute, granddaughter Kenahi Cree Flute; sister Sandra Harmon, and nephew Anthony Heath Gourneau.
