Funeral services for Kelly M. Holiday, 33, of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD with burial in the Messiah Episcopal Cemetery at Iron Nation, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.

Kelly Marie Johnson Holiday was born on January 3, 1990 to Donita Horn Johnson and Alvin Johnson, Sr at Mid-Dakota Hospital in Chamberlain, SD. Kelly passed away on May 18, 2023 in Sioux Falls, SD. She was the 12th of 13 children.

Kelly attended Head Start, elementary and part of high school in Lower Brule before graduating from Flandreau Indian School in 2008. Kelly was united in marriage to Rylin Holiday, Sr in August 2008. To this union, two children Rylin. Jr and Adara were born. In May 2017 Kelly welcomed a son, Kyren Johnson, into the world.

Kelly's hobbies included fishing, swimming, cruising, drawing, and creating digital media on social media.

Kelly is survived by her children; Rylin, Jr, Adara, and Kyren. Her mother Donita of Lower Brule, sisters Elaine (John) Olson of Ft. Thompson, Alvita (Lemar) Neash of Chamberlain, Melinda (Dean) Lacota, Ramona Johnson both of Lower Brule,  Brothers Andrew (Teresa) Mumford of Chocowinity, NC, Joel Johnson of Rapid City Alvin Johnson, Jr, Arlen Johnson, Kendall (Judy Laroche) Johnson, Sr all of Lower Brule, Bryce Johnson of Brookings. Nieces Lakita Andrews, Mallory Sazue both of Ft Thompson, Mya Sazue of Chamberlain, Krista Blaine, Dani Lacoa, Meri Blaine, Eliza Johnson and Elora Johnson all of Lower Brule.  Nephews Malcolm Andrews, Jake lacota, Mamut Blaine, Cory Castaway, Sebastion Johnson, Micah Lacota, Dylan Castaway, Kyle Johnson, Kendall Johnson, Jr, Ezra Johnson all of Lower Brule, Arnold Sazue III, Teegan Johnson, Taitum Johnson all of Ft, Thompson. Grandchildren Keturah Harrison, Atlee Andrews and Raelee Blaine.

Kelly was preceded in death by her father Alvin, brother Thomas, sisters Alvina and Julie, nieces Rianne, Deja and Bethany, nephew Nathan and granddaughter Kaytana
