Funeral services for Karla M. St. Cloud, 44, of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be Wednesday and Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.

Karla Marie St. Cloud-LaRoche was born 06/10/1975 to Flora Crane and Richard St. Cloud Sr.

Karla lived most of her life in Lower Brule, SD.  She went to school at Lower Brule Elementary School and St. Joseph Indian School, where she graduated from the  8 ^th grade.

Upon completion of her schooling she worked at various jobs; JTPA Program and Summer Youth and Adult programs.  Karla met Harvey LaRoche and they were united in marriage and together they had their first and only child Praree Dawn. Karla went on to further her educaton and attended Job Corp at Nemo, SD.  Upon completion of Job Corp Karla returned to Lower Brule to make her home and was blessed with her second daughter Tessa Jo Crane.  Karla helped raise her grandchildren Harvey aka Lil' Harve, M'Kenzie LaRoche and Dawnte St. Cloud, and did everything she could to ensure they were well provided.

Karla opened her life and her home, to help other people including her siblings, nieces and nephews. She was a gentle soul who could turn a difficult time into a humorous situation.  Karla enjoyed cooking and supplied her nieces and nephews for their birthday dinners and special occasions, with her infamous fry bread and Indian tacos.

Karla shared her love and life with family and she leaves behind Harvey LaRoche, the love of her life, her daughters Praree Dawn LaRoche and Tessa Jo Crane, her parents Roland and Flora Crane and Richard Sr, her brothers Richard Jr., James Dean, Sterling, and Eugene St. Cloud, her sisters Tara (Leonard) Traversie, Honesti, Raedell St. Cloud,Terri Heck, Special nephew Ky'mani St. cloud, nephews James Jr, Haven, Leonard Jr, Stayson, Health Traversie, Tyriek Trraversie, Teyron Johnson, Aiden St. Cloud, Eugene St. Cloud Jr., Trudell, Paite, DelRae, DelReece St. Cloud, nieces Shaniah and children, Shanna & daughter Charlie Rose, Shayna Traversie, Lakota and Sequoia Langdeau, Ariauna Traversie, Courtney St. Cloud, Chasidy Crazy Bull, Tashia Traversie, LaRaya, Lillian, Flora St. Cloud. Her grandmother Irene Skunk, Special Aunties Wilma Wilson, Josephine Skunk. Carrie Voss, JoAnn Knudson, Karen Knudson, Rita St. Cloud, Kari Marie Henniman.  Preceded in death by her grandparents Catherin Eagle Thunder, Bertha FireCloud, Eva Knudson, Anna Brown and her Aunt Adeline Clairmont.
