Joanne E Fisher Jennings

Joanne Fisher Jennings of Kermit, TX, formally of Homer, NE went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband on December 4, 2024.

She was born on December 15, 1944 in Chamberlain, SD to Oral and Leone Fisher and was confirmed and baptized in the Zion Lutheran Church. In 1962, she graduated from Chamberlain High School. In 1962, she married the love of her life, Pickens Inloe Jennings Sr, becoming an instant mother to three beautiful boys. In 1982, they moved to Homer, NE, making their home there for over 33 years.

Joanne made a career of being a bookkeeper/secretary, teaching living skills to mentally challenged seniors and became a 911 operator for So, Sioux City, NE. in 1996, she found her second family when she began work at The Broyhill Co, Dakota City, NE. In 2007, she semi retired working part time until 2015.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son: Ray and spouse Janette, grandsons: Aaron and spouse Jehnifer, Daniel and spouse Noah, Pickens III (Trey), six great grandchildren; brother: Gary Fisher and spouse Karen; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, three infant children, two sons, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter.
