Private family services will be held with burial in the Reliance Cemetery on the family plot.

Jimmy J. Michalek was born November 5, 1950 in Mason City IA to Sylvan and Jenny (Coburn) Michalek.  The family resided in Manly IA where Jimmy attended school.  He moved to the Reliance, SD area with his brother John and later he moved to Chamberlain where he resided at the time of his death.

Jimmy loved cooking, playing cards, and listening to country music.

Jimmy passed away on January 8, 2021 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 70 years.  Survivors include his son John, several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by special friend Brandi Rose.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother John, and his sister Joyce.
